About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Trade Retail Assistant with experience in tools to join our team on a permanent full time basis, reporting to the Store Manager.

Skills and Experience Required

- Previous retail sales experience is essential, ideally in a hardware or tool shop environment.
- Strong knowledge of tools and equipment commonly used in construction, woodworking, automotive, or DIY projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using a POS system.




- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding the tools and equipment they need.
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers based on their project requirements.
- Utilize sales techniques to promote add-on items and upsell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels on the sales floor by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
