About the Role
Aramex Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Tax & Treasury Accountant to join our Finance team. Covering Australia and New Zealand, this role is responsible for leading the Group's taxation and treasury functions across the region. You will provide strategic oversight of tax governance, statutory compliance, risk management, banking, liquidity, and cash flow forecasting, while partnering with the business to support commercial decision-making and ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the tax and treasury function across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Group requirements.
- Manage all direct and indirect tax obligations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance and effective tax governance.
- Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, banking relationships and working capital to support business performance and liquidity.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on tax, treasury, funding and financial risk matters,
including business initiatives and regulatory changes.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with internal stakeholders, external advisers, financial institutions and revenue authorities.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation and enhanced reporting.
- Lead, coach and develop the tax and treasury team, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance.
To be successful in this role:
- CPA or CA qualified.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar tax role.
- Experience with SAP S4/HANA, tax software and exposure to multinational company environments would be highly desirable
- International tax principles and transfer pricing knowledge.
- Extensive experience leading tax and treasury across ANZ.
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft excel and modelling.
- Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand tax legislation.
- Executive stakeholder management and commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Experience with ATO Combined Assurance Review and Voluntary Disclosures (AU & NZ) would be preferable
