General Practitioner (VR GP & Skin Clinic) – Newcastle, NSW (DPA position)

Pay rate: 70% of mixed billings, $160 per hour initial guarantee for the first 3 months

The Practice

Join a dedicated team of five GPs in this mixed-billing clinic in western Newcastle that provides optimal healthcare to its patients. You will be supported by a capable team of nurses, reception staff and a practice manager to ensure that your daily tasks run smoothly. A wide range of services are available for your patients including men’s and women’s health, child health, mental health, chronic disease management and small procedures.

The practice is offering a healthy work-life balance and versatile working hours during their opening hours between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. For doctors with an interest in skin,



you will be well supported and provided with the resources and equipment to undertake skin checks and related procedures as well as care plans for your skin cancer patients.

Ideally situated right by the coast, Newcastle is an easy 2‑hour drive from Sydney and surrounded by stellar beaches. Australia’s 7th-largest city, Newcastle offers a vast variety of restaurants, bars and cafes as well as retail stores and entertainment. Only half an hour from Port Stephen’s beautiful white sandy beaches and a 45-minute drive from the famous Hunter Valley wine region, your weekends will be filled with endless adventures. A choice of both public and private schools as well as sporting facilities are conveniently available for growing families.

AHPRA ESP and RACGP PEP-Specialist Pathway eligible international candidates (substantially comparable) as well as GPs holding Specialist Registration with AHPRA are eligible for this role.
