Help Shape the Future of Trauma-Informed Care

Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation is recruiting two full time Trauma-Informed Care Practitioners based in Tennant Creek, NT.

Available opportunities include:

- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified Position

Reporting to the Executive Manager (Stronger Families), the successful candidates will provide therapeutic support to children, young people and families while partnering with ACCHOs and partner services to strengthen culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice across the Northern Territory.

More specifically, you will:





- Deliver trauma-informed assessments, therapeutic interventions and individual healing plans
- Support children, young people, families and communities affected by historical, intergenerational and complex trauma
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and community partners to coordinate holistic care
- Design and deliver training, mentoring and workforce capability initiatives
- Coach Trauma-Informed Care Champions and support organisations to embed culturally responsive practice
- Contribute to program development, quality improvement, monitoring and evaluation
- Maintain accurate case notes, reports and program documentation
- Build trusted relationships that promote cultural safety, resilience, empowerment and long-term healing

Bring Your Expertise to a Role with Purpose

To be considered, candidates will require tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, Community Services, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Pastoral Care or a related discipline, along with demonstrated experience supporting individuals, families or communities affected by trauma and adversity.

The following experience and capabilities will also be highly regarded:

- Delivering trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapeutic support
- Understanding the impacts of historical,



intergenerational and collective trauma on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Working within multidisciplinary teams and complex service environments
- Delivering training, mentoring or workforce capability initiatives
- Working in remote communities and/or Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations
- Building strong relationships with community members, stakeholders and partner agencies
- Preparing high-quality case notes, reports and documentation

In recognition of the important work undertaken, successful candidates will receive a competitive salary of $129K - $154K per annum, plus an outstanding range of benefits including:

- Salary Packaging up to $15,899 per annum
- Relocation Assistance of up to $5,000
