This is a senior level project manager role working in the Planning, Demand & Delivery function within Technology, under the Infrastructure Delivery portfolio area. The role will functionally report to the Infrastructure Delivery Senior Program Manager .
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-risk technology and capital projects within the Technology portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and organisational strategy.
The role manages projects through the full lifecycle—from initiation and business case support through to delivery and transition—ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to expected quality. Working closely with stakeholders and delivery teams, the Senior Project Manager provides solid leadership across project governance, risk management, and execution.
Key experience:
- 6–10 years’ experience in technology project delivery within complex environments
- Proven experience delivering large or high-risk projects (AUD $1M–$5M)
- Experience across one or more domains: Business Transformation, Applications, Infrastructure & Networking, or Cyber Security
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholders and delivery environments
- Experience contributing to business case development and project initiation
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Business, Engineering or related discipline
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent are desirable.
The specific focus for this role is within the User Experience area of the infrastructure capital prolife area, with significant investment ear. Critical activities include a review, and upgrade of the current SOE, and the automation/integration of the Workplace Technology platforms that support the End User Experience to make it a seamless experience, including maintenance and monitoring.
