About the role

Grand Medical Smithfield (Formerly GP Axis) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team in Smithfield, SA 5114. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care and nursing services to our patients. As a Registered Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care, working within our medical centre to provide clinical support, health assessments, care plans, immunisations, iron infusions, and wound care . This role is essential to maintaining the standard of care our patients expect and deserve.

Key responsibilities

- Delivering direct patient care to patients, including assessment, monitoring and evaluation of health conditions

- Performing routine and complex nursing procedures and clinical assessments

- Collaborating with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans

- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining comprehensive health records in compliance with regulatory requirements

- Providing emotional support and health education to patients

- Maintaining a clean, protected and hygienic environment for patient care

- Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement of care delivery

- Adhering to all health and safety standards, infection control procedures and duty of care obligations

What we're looking for

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse

- A relevant nursing qualification recognised in Australia

- Strong clinical knowledge and competency in nursing assessment and care delivery

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families and healthcare team members

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment





- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and computer literacy

- A commitment to maintaining professional standards, confidentiality and ethical practice

- Current First Aid and CPR certification

- A genuine passion for providing patient-centred care and improving health outcomes
