Join our Defence team at RAAF Base Amberley as a senior store person. In this role, you will lead day-to-day stores operations, support and develop store personnel, and ensure all warehousing activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with Defence and Ventia requirements.
You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain Defence Security Clearance.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor and working closely with Defence stakeholders, you will be responsible for overseeing stores and warehousing operations, maintaining inventory integrity, ensuring compliance with Defence supply chain requirements, and supporting service delivery across the site. You will provide leadership and guidance to Store Persons, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service are upheld.
Lead and supervise day-to-day stores and warehousing activities
Provide guidance and support to store personnel on Defence and Ventia procedures
Manage the receipt, storage, maintenance and issue of inventory
Coordinate stocktakes, audits and inventory management activities
Maintain accurate asset, equipment and inventory records
Liaise with Defence customers and internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery requirements are met
Monitor compliance with safety,
quality and environmental requirements
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and on-the-job training
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
Assist with reporting, documentation and administrative activities associated with stores operations Required Skills and Experience
You are a proactive and organised logistics skilled who enjoys leading teams and delivering exceptional customer service. Your ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and maintain high compliance standards will be key to your success.
Current
Forklift licence
Experience supervising stores, warehousing or logistics operations
Strong inventory and stock control experience
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience working within a regulated warehousing, defence, logistics or supply chain environment
