In this role, you'll: Join our Major Events team where you will lead the planning and delivery of traffic and transport operations for major events and projects that impact Sydney's transport network.

You will play a key role in developing operational solutions that keep people moving safely and efficiently while delivering a positive customer experience. You will work closely with transport operators, government agencies, emergency services and event organisers to coordinate complex transport outcomes across multiple stakeholders. You will also contribute to operational readiness, incident planning and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to ensure successful event delivery in dynamic and time-critical environments.

You will

- Develop and deliver multi-modal traffic and transport management plans and lead delivery activities for major events and planned network impacts.
- Coordinate and facilitate planning meetings with key stakeholders, government agencies and transport operators.
- Develop contingency plans and operational responses to support network resilience.
- Analyse operational data and provide recommendations to support decision-making.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and stakeholder communications.
- Support transport operations during major events and incidents as required.
- Have strong administration and record keeping capabilities. This is a temporary, full time position up to February 2029 and is located at the Transport Management Centre (TMC) in Eveleigh. As this role supports the safe delivery of major events, you will be required to work outside of normal business hours,

About you You are an experienced transport operations professional with a strong background in traffic and transport planning, operational delivery and stakeholder management. Your expertise in developing and implementing transport operational plans allows you to successfully navigate complex environments and deliver practical, customer-focused outcomes. You bring proven experience in developing and facilitating multi-modal event traffic and transport management plans, particularly within large-scale outdoor event environments. Your strong project management skills, knowledge of Sydney's traffic and transport network, and ability to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders will set you up for success. You are a confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and enjoy working in collaborative, fast-paced operational settings.
