Qualifications and Experience

- MBBS or equivalent; currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate category.
- Minimum 12 months of experience in the Australian Health system or an equivalent competent authority country, with at least six years of hospital work; extensive experience in anaesthesia, intensive care and emergency settings.
- Competency in procedural skills such as rapid sequence intubation, central venous and arterial access, PICC lines and tube thoracostomy; demonstrated independent performance of these skills. Experience in intra‑hospital transport of ventilated patients and leadership of cardiac arrest/medical rapid response teams.




- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and to provide leadership and direction for patient management.
- Capability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical setting, utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise, with a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self‑education.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills.
