Community OOSH Services (Grafton) is located on the Mid-North Coast of NSW offering unique adventure based activities as part of our program. We provide opportunities for children to engage in safe risk taking and experience challenge by incorporating “Life Skills” into our daily program.

A Coordinator position (6 Month Maternity Leave Contract) is available at our Grafton centre that is licenced for 150 children.This would be full-time (38hrs pw) for the duration of the contract .

The Coordinator will be responsible for the daily operations of our OOSH service, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.

This full-time role is for 38 hours per week and the hours are as follows

School Term:

Monday to Friday 30 Hours per week

Worked between 6:30am to 9:00am & 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

Plus 8 Hours Administration time which can be completed flexibly from home or in the centre office at a time that suits your schedule

School Holidays:

Total hours per week between 38 hours & 45 hours

(Overtime applies for shifts over 8 hours)

Varying shifts between 7:00am-6:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and inspire a team of passionate educators, fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Create a protected, engaging environment where children feel supported and encouraged to thrive.
- Build strong relationships with families, the school, and the wider community.
- Oversee programming and activities to align with children’s interests and developmental needs.
- Oversee rostering, training,



and daily operations to ensure a smooth-running service.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.

Key Requirements

- Willingness to provide Face to Face hours – hands on, active supervision and the implementation of programmed activities
- Weekly programming and educational documentation with allocated off the floor administration time.
- Quality Improvement Plan development andmanagement of individual projects
- Ensuring a high-quality standard of care is provided and a happy and safe environment is maintained for all
- Responsible Person on Duty responsibilities for delegated shifts
- Ability to form and develop positive relationships with the team, families, and school communities
- Ability to lead and inspire a small team
- Great communication skills and a motivated team member

Experience and Qualifications

- You hold a Diploma qualification in School aged care or appropriate equivalent
- You have a minimum 2 years working in a leadership role within an OOSH environment
- You possess excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- You hold a current First Aid (012) certification
- You hold a current paid employee working with children check.
- You have completed all current modules of the Child Safety Training
- You hold the CHCPRT001 Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk.
- You’re confident in the use of technology and have intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- You have experience and knowledge of NQF, NQS and MTOP.
