We are a local Rhodes based coffee roasting company, roasting multiple coffee brands and coffee blends.

We aim to please coffee lovers with an exceptional and informed coffee experience.

The successful candidate must love coffee and must be an experienced Coffee Sales professional with established network in cafes sector of Greater Sydney.

What is the Primary Purpose of the Business Development Manager role?

To contribute to Schibello Coffee Group’s business growth by achieving the revenue and profitability targets in Sydney

Responsible for:

Open new accounts by developing current relationships and acquiring new customers in line withbusinessstrategy.

Relationships withcafe (business) owners, managers and baristas.

Target multiple segments in your territory - Cafes and Hospitality groups

Grow territory by maintaining customers and increasing the profitability of new and existing accounts.

Network the specialty coffee industry & support the Marketing Team.

Provide Marketing with regular industry research on Specialty cafes and competitors.

Work in conjunction with the Account Management Team to Develop and adhere to a post new business visitation program to ensure an effective account management plan, this cementing the relationship post implementation

Complete general administration information management and sales documentation on Trello CRM.

Educate yourself (coffee, equipment, sales and account management).

Complete any other duties as may be required from time to time.

Sales and Relationship building skills:



Prospecting and New Business Development to Existing Account Management

Customer Focus: always provide outstanding customer service and focus on understanding our customers

Sales admin skills: Accuracy in sales doc preparation - Basic MS Word, MS Excel and CRM (Trello)

Business Acumen: ability to negotiate commercially viable customer deals, and always within our Pricing policies.

Coffee Knowledge: Understand coffee production from crop to cup; Tasting and Sensory understanding of our commercial blends and single origins. Intermediate Espresso making, Latte art skills and Filter methods.

Coffee Equipment Knowledge: understanding of our equipment solutions per our Equipment Solutions by Brand policy; Troubleshooting skills to support existing customers by phone and in-café.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

Sales experience in sourcing new business and growing existing business is ideal.

Knowledge of coffee, coffee equipment and industry – specialty coffee, hospitality.

Qualifications in business studies is preferable.

Current Driver’s License.

Working knowledge of WHS policies & procedures.
