About The Role Coogee is seeking an experienced Site Services Tradesperson to join our Site Services Maintenance Team on a permanent full time basis. This hands-on role is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and improvement of site buildings, facilities, and infrastructure, ensuring assets remain safe, functional, and fit for purpose while supporting operational requirements across the site. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of carpentry, building maintenance, construction, and general site services activities, while maintaining high standards of safety, workmanship, and compliance within a Major Hazard Facility (MHF) environment.
Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality building, carpentry, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work on site infrastructure, facilities, buildings, workshops, amenities, fencing, walkways, and other fixed assets, ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards.
Execute maintenance and construction activities in accordance with Major Hazard Facility (MHF) requirements, including compliance with permit-to-work systems, isolations, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), risk assessments, and other site safety procedures.
Interpret drawings, plans, specifications, work instructions, and project documentation to plan and complete construction, maintenance, and repair tasks accurately and efficiently.
Support preventative, corrective, and project-based maintenance programs to maintain the integrity, functionality, and appearance of site facilities and infrastructure, while minimising disruption to operations.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, maintenance documentation, and hazard reporting, proactively identifying site improvement opportunities and contributing to a solid safety, reliability, and continuous improvement culture across the site.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
Strong commitment to safety and risk management, with a thorough understanding of secure work practices, hazard identification, and risk controls within an industrial or construction environment.
Proven carpentry, building, and site maintenance skills, including the construction, repair, modification, and maintenance of buildings,
structural components, workshops, amenities, fencing, walkways, and site infrastructure.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across maintenance, operations, project, and contractor teams.
Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship, ensuring construction, maintenance, and repair activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications and quality standards.
Sound understanding of compliance, maintenance, and quality standards, including permit-to-work systems, risk assessments, site procedures, and Major Hazard Facility (MHF) requirements.
Effective problem-solving and practical troubleshooting abilities, with the capability to assess building and infrastructure defects, identify root causes, and implement safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
