At Salsa Digital , we are looking for an experienced and technically curious Solution Architect to join Team Salsa.

This isn’t a role where you will sit on the sidelines drawing architecture diagrams.

You will be at the intersection of technology, people, business and user needs — solving complex problems, shaping technical decisions and helping design digital services that genuinely matter.

You will work on significant government and enterprise digital platforms that impact how Australians access information, engage with services and interact with organisations they rely on every day.

What will you actually do?

You will take ownership of the overall solution architecture , making sure all the moving parts come together as one coherent, secure and sustainable solution.

That means working across:

? Drupal and digital platforms — designing and shaping complex Drupal-based solutions

? Applications & integrations — APIs, data flows, distributed systems and connected platforms

? Cloud & DevOps — working with cloud, deployment and infrastructure specialists

? Security & compliance — building security, privacy and risk considerations into architecture from the start

? Data & emerging technology — including AI-enabled services and other technologies relevant to our clients

? Delivery — ensuring the architecture remains aligned from discovery through implementation, assurance and operational transition

You will also be involved in pre-sales, tenders,



discovery and solution shaping , leading technical discussions and workshops with clients and stakeholders.

And you will provide architectural leadership across multidisciplinary teams — guiding Technical Leads, developers and specialists, resolving cross-domain design challenges and influencing decisions without needing direct line management authority .

?? Security & eligibility

Because of the nature of the work, you must be an Australian citizen and currently reside in Australia .

A Baseline security clearance is highly desirable , or you should be eligible and willing to obtain one.

Experience working with Australian Government or other highly regulated environments will be viewed favourably.

? Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who can see the whole picture .

Someone who can take a complex problem, cut through the noise, understand the trade-offs and turn it into a solution that is secure, scalable, practical and built to last.

You will need strong practical Drupal architecture and delivery experience , together with broad technical capability, systems thinking and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.





Experience in Australian Government or other highly regulated environments would be fantastic, as would experience with AWS, DevOps, security architecture, AI-enabled solutions, CKAN or Rules as Code — but these are nice-to-haves rather than the core of the role.
