About the Business

Join a growing Speech Pathology clinic based on the Central Coast, known for its strong reputation in paediatric dysphagia and complex communication.

The team works with children and adults, with a strong focus on early intervention, complex disability, AAC, paediatric dysphagia, rare chromosomal conditions, ASD Level 3 presentations and cerebral palsy. The clinic is highly collaborative, supportive and passionate about helping clinicians build confidence in work without feeling overwhelmed.

About the Role

This role would suit a Speech Pathologist at any stage of their career,



from a graduate through to an experienced or senior clinician.

The caseload is approximately 90% paediatric, with the core age group sitting between 18 months and 8–9 years old. You will work across early intervention, complex communication, paediatric dysphagia, AAC and disability-focused therapy.

There is also scope to work with adults if this is an area of interest, including functional dysphagia, mealtime management plans, AAC and progressive neurological conditions such as Huntington’s disease.

The role is primarily clinic-based, with approximately 15% community and home visits. Tuesday and Wednesday are currently the busiest clinic days, and clinicians have flexibility around managing their own calendars.

Support Available

You do not need to come in with paediatric experience. The clinic is very open to someone who is eager to learn, willing to shadow, and interested in developing within the disability sector.

The first few weeks will involve shadowing, getting to know the clients and slowly building up your caseload. You will not be expected to carry a full caseload immediately.

Support includes:

- Shadowing
- Caseload built gradually
- Group supervision once a fortnight
- Friday 2pm team supervision and sit-down
- Regular collaboration across the team
- Support from experienced clinicians with strong paediatric dysphagia and complex communication experience
- Open team discussions around complex families and clinical problem-solving

Team Culture

This is a very close-knit, flexible and collaborative team environment. The director has two children herself and understands the importance of flexibility, realistic expectations and avoiding clinician burnout.

The team works closely together and takes a collaborative approach to complex families and clinical decision-making. Clinicians manage their own calendars through a shared room-booking system.
