Role Overview
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play an key part in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing materials while keeping stock records accurate and the warehouse organized. This is a hands-on role with both physical and administrative responsibilities.
What will you do?
- Coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities with the warehouse supervisor.
- Receive shipments, process goods receipt, and verify materials against documentation.
- Support picking, packing, and the distribution of goods and materials.
- Record incoming and outgoing goods accurately and maintain warehouse documentation.
- Carry out daily housekeeping and basic warehouse maintenance to keep the area clean and orderly.
- Perform periodic inventory cycle counts and update stock levels.
- Prepare and maintain systematic filing, records, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate by email with buyers, customer service, and forwarders when needed.
- Support ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor.
How will you do it?
- You will take ownership of your work with accountability, safety, and integrity, making sure goods and records are handled correctly.
- You will stay close to the daily work, focus on the most important tasks, and help remove small obstacles before they become delays.
- You will look for practical improvements in warehouse routines, use clear communication, and approach issues with candor and problem-solving.
- You will work as one team with your supervisor,
buyers, customer service, and forwarders to keep materials moving smoothly.
- You will keep the warehouse organized, traceable, and ready for safe operations by following established processes consistently.
What are we looking for?
- Accurate and detail-oriented approach to daily work.
- Enjoy working in a warehouse environment and handling hands-on tasks.
- Ability to carry loads up to 25 kg.
- Forklift driving license.
- Forklift, reach truck, or stacker driving skills.
- Comfortable maintaining documentation and updating records carefully.
- Basic communication skills for working with internal teams and external contacts.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or inventory-related role.
- Experience with SAP or Baan systems.
- Familiarity with goods receipt, picking, packing, and cycle counting processes.
- Willingness to learn new things and contribute as a team player.
