The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day internal accounting activities and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This position requires a robust understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting management with financial reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing daily accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records.

- Processing and recording financial transactions, journals, and adjustments.

- Maintaining the general ledger and performing regular account reconciliations.

- Preparing monthly financial reports, management accounts, and financial summaries.

- Monitoring cash flow, budgets, and business performance indicators.

- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Performing bank reconciliations and resolving financial discrepancies.

- Assisting with payroll processing,



employee records, and superannuation administration.

- Preparing financial information and supporting documentation for the external accountant.

- Assisting with BAS, tax preparation, and year-end accounting requirements in conjunction with the external accountant.

- Reviewing accounting processes and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

- Supporting management with financial analysis and business decision-making.

The successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Accounting and Masters in associated field must be preferable and a minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and experience with accounting software such as Xero or similar systems are essential.
