Miltek Aviation is a specialist aviation engineering company based at West Sale Airport, Victoria,
We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores & Inventory Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operation of our engineering stores and inventory system. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring aircraft parts, tooling and materials are accurately received, recorded, stored and issued to support engineering operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesStores Management
- Receive deliveries and verify quantities against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately label, identify and store aircraft parts, components and consumables.
- Maintain a clean, organised and secure stores environment.
- Ensure all items are stored appropriately to prevent damage or deterioration.
- Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's stock management system.
- Record all goods received, issued and transferred.
- Carry out regular stock counts and assist with annual stocktakes.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management when replenishment is required.
Parts Control
- Prepare and issue parts to engineering staff.
- Record movement of all inventory to maintain full traceability.
- Organise returns, warranty items and quarantined stock where required.
- Maintain supporting documentation for parts and inventory records.
Purchasing Support
- Assist with ordering consumables and stock items.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and shortages.
- Track outstanding orders and update expected delivery dates.
- Assist with freight and logistics coordination.
General Duties
- Assist with warehouse housekeeping and continuous improvement.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided where required).
- Support engineering and operational staff with stores-related enquiries.
- Undertake other warehouse and inventory duties as reasonably required.
Essential Skills & Experience The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse, stores or inventory environment.
- Good computer skills and experience using inventory or stock management systems such as Aerotrack
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise work in a busy environment.
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
- Current driver's licence.
- Ability to undertake manual handling tasks safely.
Desirable
- Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with engineering, automotive, manufacturing or aviation parts.
- Experience using barcode scanning or inventory management software.
- Understanding of stock control and inventory procedures.
Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
