Operations Manager / Customer related - Glass and aluminium industry

GHA Solutions is a well established family owned fencing, balustrade, shower screen, commercial and building materials distributor (toughened glass, aluminium and stainless steel) supplying thetrade only.

Key responsibilities:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Manager who is customer relations focussed, takes pride in quality, teamwork and demonstrates operational excellence, to join our team in Smithfield.

In this role, you will manage stock, ensure accurate order processing, and contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse.

Key tasks include:

Daily communication with the director

Daily contact with major clients

Inventory – hardware ordering

Receive, check, and store incoming stock and materials.

Maintain inventory records and conduct regular stocktakes.

Assist walk in customers

Organising daily truck runs for smooth deliveries and customer service

Picking and packing

Packing and organising courier orders

Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and complies with safety standards.

Collaborate with other team members to meet operational goals.

Assist with the preparation of shipments and deliveries.

Stocktaking and managing the inventory

Ordering of glass with directors approval





Trouble shooting issues with orders/customers

In order to be successful in the role, you will need:

Industry expertise: Extensive experience in construction or manufacturing

Leadership strength: Proven ability to mentor, develop, and empower teams to achieve success while remaining actively involved in day-to-day operations.

Excellent communicator: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills with sharp attention to detail.

Tech savvy: Confident using an inventory based system, and quoting systems

Customer focus: A passion for delivering quality outcomes and maintaining robust customer relationships.

Safety mindset: Solid understanding of Health & Safety standards and a commitment to creating a safe workplace.

Character: Be presentable and have a polite/can do attitude as you will be in face to face contact with clients. Be reliable, hard-working and team oriented. Be able to work unsupervised

Other Points

A permanent full time role is available for immediate start.. A friendly work environment!

Salary to be set commensurate with experience.

Experience in the glass industry will be highly regarded.

Business hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 am til 4 pm.
