Office Administration Officer – Maternity Leave Cover
Part-Time | 20 Hours per Week
Our client is seeking an experienced Office Administration Officer to join their manufacturing team on a part time basis (20 hours per week) to provide maternity leave cover. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised administrator with experience in a manufacturing workplace who enjoys supporting production, purchasing, and operational teams.
About the Role
Working closely with the Production, Purchasing and Operations teams, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day administration of manufacturing processes. The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate production administration, including updating routings, production planning reports, work orders, travellers, transfer orders, production schedules, and maintaining ERP system accuracy.
- Manage purchasing activities by creating and receiving purchase orders, monitoring outstanding parts, ordering production materials, and maintaining supplier information using GTMS and ERP systems.
- Support manufacturing operations by creating and releasing work orders,
checking assembly requirements, monitoring stock levels, processing transfer orders, and ensuring production documentation is complete.
- Maintain payroll spreadsheets, timesheets, MyPay records, production reports, and complete monthly and end-of-month administrative reporting.
- Ensure compliance and general office administration by maintaining safety documentation, inspections, maintenance records, calibration schedules, consumables reporting, filing, scanning, and supporting continuous improvement activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous administration experience within a manufacturing environment (essential).
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Experience with GTMS or similar manufacturing software.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including creating and maintaining spreadsheets and reports.
- Experience processing purchase orders and supporting purchasing functions.
- Experience maintaining payroll spreadsheets, timesheets, or payroll administration.
- Excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
