About the Role

Reporting to the Operational Manager People, Safety and Engagement the Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and monitoring of Health and Safety including Psychosocial Health, Injury Management, Emergency Management and Wellbeing across Primary Care Connect (PCC).

This role ensures a safe, compliant and proactive organisational environment by delivering hands on OHS activities, supporting staff through training and risk assessments and maintaining robust safety systems and documentation.

The position combines operational OHS responsibilities such as inspections, emergency preparedness and incident management with systems focused work including procedure development, compliance monitoring and maintaining OHS registers and databases.

Working within the People, Safety and Engagement team, the Health Safety and Wellbeing Advisor collaborates with all staff across the organisation to promote a safety first culture aligned with PCC’s values.

Key Selection Criteria

The following criteria must be met and addressed in applications for consideration for this position:

- Certificate IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety (or working toward).
- Demonstrated experience in Health and Safety, Workcover,



Emergency Management and Wellbeing coordination within a multi-site or community-based environment.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, audits, and safety inspections.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver OHS training.
- Knowledge of emergency management procedures and legislative requirements.
- Experience using and maintaining OHS registers and databases.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and support staff.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.

Demonstrated alignment with PCC values.

- Qualification or experience in Quality Auditing or compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of accreditation processes relevant to community health.
- Experience in contractor OHS management.
