Our Catering Department has a new prospect to join our busy and growing department, dedicated to preparing and serving delicious and nutritional meals to our patients.

/n

Delmar Private Hospital is seeking to employ acasual Food Services Assistant. You will work in a team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.

/n

As a valued Food Services Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

/n

Assist in preparation of food trays for patient consumption

/n

Quality checking food trays before delivering meals to patients, ensuring patients receive appropriate meals according to dietary requirements.

/n

Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal tray in a friendly and courteous manner.

/n

Cleaning duties, including fridges and preparation areas, kitchen area, dish wash area

/n

Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards

/n

General cleaning and sanitising of all areas of food preparation areas.

/n





Selection Criteria - what works for us:

/n

Must have Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services as a Catering Assistant or Kitchenhand.

/n

Knowledge of dietary restriction and allergies

/n

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements

/n

Effective English reading, writing, and verbal skills

/n

Be reliable and punctual

/n

The ability to support the Head Cook and the team in a busy kitchen.

/n

Strong hygiene practices and attention to detail

/n

Ability to work autonomously, without supervision, as well as a part of a team

/n

Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service

/n

Motivated by personal growth and accountability

/n

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts - split shifts, morning/afternoon shifts & weekend work. You must be available for weekday shifts.

/n

The successful applicant will require a minimum of Food Handling Certificate, Police Check as well as a valid Working with Children Check.
