Job Description

Benang Energy Infrastructure Pty Ltd Benang is currently seeking experienced Drainer to join our power team. The successful candidate will be required to operate hand tools and machinery in excavation and pipe laying tasks. Performing general labour duties, whilst adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.

The successful candidate will be working collaboratively as part of a team to complete all projects on time and to a high standard. The Role Excavate trenches and lay pipes, ensuring proper alignment and grading using lasers. Operate heavy machinery and tools to complete tasks.

Always adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Work independently or within a team environment. Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members.

Complete daily reports, including Pre-Starts and JSEA’s. Requirements: MSCL pipe laying accreditation. Experience in similar role (3 years min).

Construction white card. HR Driver’s license. Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination.

Strong attention to detail and a focus on safety. Punctuality and reliability. Water construction experience.

Ability to read, interpret and understand site plans. Demonstrate ability to routinely perform onsite activities safely and to the highest standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Review illustrations and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials needed.

Design and set up sanitary plumbing and water supply systems. Assemble and set up mechanical service plant, air handling and conditioning equipment and small-bore heating systems. Installation of pipework of various size type.

Liaise with site supervisor assisting with planning of drainage jobs. Excavate trenches and lay pipes,



ensuring proper alignment and grading using lasers. Must have: Driver’s Licence (HR mandatory).

White Card. First Aid and CPR mandatory. Current experience in operating excavators and loaders.
