Welcome to The Beach Early Learning Centre Tuggerah! We're passionate about educating our children to know the importance and perks of healthy choices and nutritious meals. We are a 56-placecentre now on the lookout for our next Cook to join our fun-loving team!

This is a Permanent part-time role, offering 25 hours per week from 8 am - 1 pm.

The role

/n

/n

- This role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus.

/n

- You'll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, questions, ideas and tips!

/n

- You'll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program – a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children's growth and development while in child care.

About you

/n

/n

- Efficient and capable cook

/n

- Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages

/n

- Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control

/n

- Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards

/n

- Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs

/n

- Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events

/n/n

You already have

/n

/n

- Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate

/n

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable)

/n

- Experience in an early childhood setting

/n

- Reliable transport to and from our centre

/n

- Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate
