The chance

This is a rewarding locum opportunity in Mornington Island , located in the Gulf of Carpentaria. You’ll join a highly rated Aboriginal Medical Service providing culturally safe healthcare to the community, working alongside GPs, nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, midwives, allied health professionals and visiting specialists.

The clinic uses Communicare software and operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. There are no emergency department duties, after-hours or weekend work required . A minimum commitment of three weeks is required.

Essential criteria

- Fellowship with RACGP and/or ACRRM
- Current AHPRA Specialist GP Registration
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Experience in rural or remote healthcare, ideally Indigenous health
- Cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal communities
- Familiarity with Communicare software desirable
