Fairfield Hospital is recruiting for a Career Medical Officer to complement and enhance the current General Medicine Department.

What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.

1. MBBS or equivalent, current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia. A minimum of three (3) years post- graduate experience with at least six (6) months experience as a General Medicine Medical Registrar is desirable but not essential
2. Demonstrated recent relevant experience in clinical medicine and ability to work in a complex clinical environment with proven ability to apply clinical knowledge and concepts in practical situations
3. Demonstrated teamwork and problem-solving skills within a multidisciplinary team
4. Demonstrated time management and prioritisation skills within the context of multiple competing priorities
5. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, teaching, quality improvement and clinical leadership in Medicine
6. Demonstrate excellent computer skills, and fluency in using Hospital EMR.
7. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, carers, families, staff and referring GP and Specialists (both verbal and written)
8. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
