The OpportunityA high-growth, digitally enabled insurance business with an ambitious growth agenda and a solid focus on innovation, industry disruption and commercial performance. The business is entering an exciting phase of expansion, creating an opportunity for a senior finance leader to work closely with the founders and leadership team and play a meaningful role in shaping the next stage of growth.

The Challenge

This newly created role offers broad exposure across financial control, management reporting, commercial finance and statutory compliance. Working closely with the CEO, Executive Chair and leadership team, core responsibilities will include:

- Lead the financial accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely month-end reporting and group consolidations.
- Prepare monthly management reporting providing clear insight into performance and financial position.
- Lead quarterly forecasting and cashflow reporting, improving visibility of financial performance, liquidity and key business assumptions
- Own balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, provisions, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany balances
- Own the annual budgeting process and provide financial modelling and business cases to support strategic initiatives
- Act as a key commercial partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing financial insight to support the long-term strategy and business performance
- Provide financial oversight across corporate development, M&A; and growth initiatives, ensuring sound commercial decisions are made
- Manage banking relationships, debt financing and capital structuring to support the growth of the business
- Lead statutory financial reporting, external audit requirements and engagement with external advisors.
- Review and enhance accounting policies and strengthen finance processes,



controls and reporting to create a more scalable and sustainable finance function

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

- CA or CPA qualified with strong technical accounting capability and up to date knowledge of accounting standards
- General Insurance experience is highly sought after with strong experience across financial control, reporting, forecasting and cashflow management
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to partner with founders, the CEO and senior leadership on strategic and commercial decisions
- Experience with financial modelling, business cases and corporate development initiatives
- Exposure to capital management and M&A; will be highly regarded
- Experience with Xero with ERP implementation experience advantageous
- Highly analytical, resilient and outcomes focused, with the ability to operate autonomously, navigate ambiguity and roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced, lean environment
- Candidates with high achievement drive and proven experience in hands-on high growth environments outside the insurance industry will also be considered
- It is a given you will possess superior communication skills to effectively partner and manage internal and external stakeholders
