About the opportunity:
The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical expertise and care relevant to women with psychiatry needs who experience pelvic pain and endometriosis. Pelvic pain and endometriosis affects up to 1 in 7 women, and has a profound impact on the quality of life of individuals and their wider community.
Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) has been identified as the preferred location to host a northern Queensland Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Clinic service to improve healthcare access for women and girls experiencing pelvic pain and endometriosis.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Permanent part-time role, 16 hours per fortnight
- Salary range: $106.39 to $134.90 p.h. (L18 - L27)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance (50% base salary)
- Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
- Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
- Qualifications in Psychiatry, recognised by the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, and current registration with/or eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. Demonstrated experience and interest in Women's Mental Health.
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
- Probation period may apply.
