The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Specialist Behaviour Support (SBS) Advanced/Specialist Practitioner to join our Allied Health team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability.

In this rewarding role, you'll deliver high-quality Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) services using evidence-based, trauma-informed, neuro-affirming and rights-based approaches. You'll work alongside individuals, families, carers and support networks to improve quality of life, reduce behaviours of concern and build meaningful, lasting outcomes. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor practitioners, contribute to specialist programs and help shape best practice across the service.

About the Role

As an Advanced/Specialist Practitioner, you will:

- Deliver person-centred Positive Behaviour Support services to people with disability and complex support needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based behaviour support strategies.
- Support individuals, families and care teams to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to Core and Proficient PBS Practitioners.
- Contribute to specialist initiatives and programs, including services supporting young people in out-of-home care and other complex cohorts.
- Deliver therapeutic interventions, skill development and capacity-building supports.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with key stakeholders across health, education, child and family services and community sectors.
- Champion human rights, choice, control and inclusion in all aspects of practice.

What you will bring





We're looking for a practitioner who is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes and building the capability of others.

You will have:

- Extensive experience supporting people with disability and complex needs.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Positive Behaviour Support and other evidence-based intervention frameworks.
- Well-developed communication, advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working across complex service systems including disability, mental health, child protection, family services, justice, housing or healthcare.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A person-centred, strengths-based approach and genuine commitment to human rights and inclusion.
- The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary environments and build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Registration as an Advanced or Specialist Practitioner under the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel as required.
- International Police Check and Disqualified Carer Check (where applicable).
