You see the big picture, you’ve always worked on a grand scale, and now you’re ready to re-focus on grand impact.
Work in an organisation based on purpose, structure and process. You know that to make a meaningful contribution to our community and economy, there needs to be diligence in our operations.
In this role, you'll:
Work within our Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) Escort Operations Management Team in the Coordinator General division at Transport for NSW, leading the day-to-day delivery of Oversize Overmass (OSOM) operations.
The role will deliver REZ escort operations by leading the on-road escorting function required to safely facilitate high-risk REZ OSOM movements and ensuring compliant, efficient and reliable escort services within live traffic environments.
You will contribute to the establishment and maturing of a new operational capability, embedding safe systems of work and continuous improvement across a geographically dispersed workforce covering regional NSW. This will see you working shift patterns, on-call arrangements, weekends, and in remote locations of Regional NSW.

About you
Your relevant escort / traffic control qualifications and / or experience will be in leading operational escort teams in industries such as transport, logistics, emergency response, or traffic/incident management environments.
You’re recognised for your decision-making capability in high-risk, time-critical situations, including incident response and escalation. This is combined with your ability to coordinate multi-agency responses and manage complex stakeholder engagements.
As a result, an understanding of OSOM operations, Heavy Vehicle National law (HVNL) and road transport regulatory frameworks would be ideal.
This is an Award Transport Grade 9 Permanent Full-Time role that can be based in Sydney, Newcastle or Wagga office locations. The role will also require flexibility to travel to regional areas of NSW and participate in regular night shift activities. Also, some flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model!
