WHO ARE WE

With significant experience in the disability sector within both government and community organisations, Rubix Support is passionate about supporting people with cognitive impairments to lead the life they want to live and to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Rubix Support provide support to people aged between two years and sixty five years old. We are a registered provider under the NDIS and provide services across four main areas: Positive Behaviour Support, Support coordination, Lifestyle Support and Sexuality and Relationship education. We are focused on evidenced based best practice and are passionate about achieving positive outcomes for the people we support.

Rubix Support aims to improve the personal well-being of people with cognitive impairments with complex support needs through specialised, coordinated assessments and supports; and to provide extensive training and supports to its empathetic, experiences and energetic staff.

Rubix Support's Vision is to be a leader in the provision of evidence-based, practical, individualised behaviour assessment and support for people with intellectual impairments with complex support needs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused People & Culture Officer to join our team on a part time basis, providing maternity leave cover for 3 days per week.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across a broad range of HR activities and being part of a supportive, fast-paced team. You’ll be involved in recruitment and onboarding, HRIS management, employee support, HR administration, compliance and general People & Culture initiatives.

You’ll work closely with managers and employees across the organisation, helping to ensure our people processes run smoothly and our employees have a positive experience from recruitment through to their employment journey.

The Accountabilities include:





- Provide administrative support across recruitment, including preparing advertisements, monitoring applications, coordinating interviews, preparing offers and supporting pre-employment checks.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all employees are made to feel welcome, the required licences and certification are verified in the HR system, and account access is provided for applicable software and systems.
- Monitor and support employees to keep their mandatory licences and certificates in date in accordance with Rubix Support Policy and Procedures and NDIS Practise Standards.
- Manage the offboarding of employees in the HR System and remove account access in applicable software and systems.
- Provide administrative support to Employee’s and Rubix Support Leadership throughout the performance appraisal process by assisting with related administrative activities.
- Use of Rubix Support’s Human Resources system (EmployeeConnect), providing support and guidance to employees in using the system.
- Promote and provide information for the Employee Access Program (EAP) where applicable.
- Ensure relevant People & Culture Policies and Procedures are adhered to and followed.
- Awareness of Industrial legislation and Awards in which employees are employed under and provide administrative support (if required) for implementation of relevant organisational changes.
- Support leaders across Rubix Support to achieve their People & Culture related goals through problem solving and solution focused conversations and support.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by actively participating in team meetings, professional development, organisational initiatives and fostering a supportive culture.
- Use organisational systems and technology effectively in line with organisational requirements,



maintaining accurate records and supporting efficient service delivery.
- Provide assistance with other human resources / people and culture tasks as required.

ABOUT YOU

- Knowledge in Employee Relations, Industrial Relations legislation and the SCHADS award is highly desirable for this role.
- Appropriate, relevant knowledge and experiences related to the accountabilities of this role.
- Ability to build and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with all internal stakeholders.
- Experience in recruitment process’, use of HR systems and onboarding of new employees.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a variety of stakeholders.
- High level of verbal, written and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently, enabling the oversight of multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to use current technology and systems of work.
- Lovely person.

Rubix Support is a child safe organisation and is committed to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children and young people. Furthermore, we operate with stringent safety screening procedure for all preferred candidates in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements. All applicants must provide the following licences and certificates prior to commencement:

- Two Professional Referees

- A cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check (this must be cleared prior to interview)

- Current (Employee) Working with Children Check card
- Proof of Australian working rights if applicable

- Completion of NDIS Commissions’ Worker Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
