About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Coordinator / Advisor role is responsible for supporting Maxim Group Australia’s growing operational, compliance, return-to-work, and administrative requirements across the business.

Based at site on the North East Link project you will assist with day-to-day HSEQ support, plant and equipment compliance, incident administration, SDS management, PPE coordination, training and competency records, assist HR as required with return-to-work administration, following project auditing schedules and reportion, along with general systems governance

Key Responsibilities

HSEQ Systems & Administration

- Maintain HSEQ documentation, registers, records, and compliance systems.

- Support document control, reporting, compliance tracking, and business system administration.

Incident Management Support

- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and record management.

- Support incident tracking, documentation, and trend analysis.

Plant, Equipment & Fleet Compliance

- Maintain plant, equipment, and fleet compliance registers and records.

- Monitor inspections, servicing, licences, maintenance, and compliance actions.

SDS & Chemical Management

- Maintain SDS and chemical management records and compliance documentation.

- Support chemical risk management and access to current SDS information.





PPE Ordering & Inventory Management

- Coordinate PPE procurement, inventory control, and issuance records.

- Monitor stock levels and support compliance with PPE standards.

Training, Competency & HR Support

- Maintain training, competency, licence, and onboarding records.

- Support training coordination, compliance monitoring, and workforce capability reporting.

Site & Operational Support

- Provide HSEQ support to site and project teams.

- Assist with inspections, audits, action close-out, and HSEQ communication across operations.

About You

Essential Requirements

- Experience in civil, construction, electrical, infrastructure, plant, equipment, logistics, or similar operational environments.

- Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle Nation Law (HVNL – Victoria)

- Strong organisational and administrative skills.

- Valuable understanding of safety, compliance, plant, equipment, and systems-based requirements.

- Ability to manage registers, records, follow-ups, and competing priorities.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with site, office and management teams.

- Experience with incident reporting, training records, or compliance systems would be highly regarded.

- Confidence using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Excel, and similar business systems.
