We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join one of our latest infrastructure transformation programs in Melbourne CBD. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, create high-quality documentation and support the successful progression of the program.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, facilitate and document discovery, requirements and process-design workshops.
- Engage effectively with business, technology, infrastructure, security and operational stakeholders.
- Elicit, analyse and validate business, functional, technical and non-functional requirements.
- Challenge assumptions, resolve ambiguity and ensure requirements accurately reflect stakeholder needs.
- Create documentation from scratch, including:
- Business and functional requirements
- Current-state and future-state process maps
- User stories and acceptance criteria
- Workshop materials and outcomes
- Requirements traceability matrices
- Gap assessments and impact analyses
- Options papers and decision records
- Implementation, transition and operational-readiness documentation

- Translate technical infrastructure concepts into transparent business language.
- Work with architects, engineers, project managers and delivery teams to clarify requirements throughout the program.
- Identify and document dependencies, risks, issues and delivery gaps.
- Support solution validation, testing and stakeholder acceptance.
- Produce accurate, structured and decision-ready documentation with minimal supervision.

Required experience

- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst on infrastructure transformation programs.




- Strong understanding of enterprise technology infrastructure, including areas such as cloud, networks, identity and access management, workplace technology, end-user computing, data centres, security or infrastructure operations.
- Proven ability to independently plan and lead workshops involving senior, technical and operational stakeholders.
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, validation and documentation skills.
- Experience creating project documentation from a blank page-not simply maintaining existing templates.
- Ability to build trusted relationships across business and technical teams.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting complex transformation, remediation, migration or implementation initiatives.
- Ability to work through ambiguity, incomplete information and competing stakeholder perspectives.
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

Highly regarded

- Experience working in consulting or professional-services environments.
- Exposure to large, regulated or geographically distributed organisations.
- Experience supporting infrastructure discovery, architecture, security, migration, testing or operational transition.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro or equivalent tools.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in business analysis, project delivery or technology.
