We are looking for an accomplished HSE Advisor to join our Castle Hill mining operations in Western Australia on a 9/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
This position is central to strengthening our Mine Safety Management System (MSMS) and supporting the Site Senior Executive (SSE) and HSE Superintendent to meet obligations under the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (WA).
What You'll Be Doing
- Strategic HSE leadership: Provide proactive, high-quality safety guidance across mining operations.
- MSMS ownership: Drive implementation, continuous improvement and critical control verification.
- Field engagement: Lead inspections, audits and Critical Risk Management interactions that influence behaviour and culture.
- Risk, incident and compliance assurance: Facilitate investigations and risk assessments, drive corrective action close-out and monitor adherence to procedures, permits and statutory requirements.
- SSE support, reporting and analytics: Strengthen site governance and legislative compliance through clear, accurate HSE reporting and performance insights.
- Capability development: Coach supervisors and work teams to lift safety performance and decision-making.
- Emergency readiness: Support emergency response planning, training and continuous improvement.
About You
You're a credible and proactive safety professional with strong operational awareness, clear communication skills and the ability to influence without authority, even in challenging conditions.
You will have:
- Proven experience as an HSE Advisor within mining, resources or heavy industry.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety as a minimum.
- Strong knowledge of WA mining legislation, MSMS requirements and critical control management.
- Demonstrated capability in investigations, audits, risk assessments and verification activities.
- A track record of working autonomously and making sound operational decisions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels.
- Proficiency in HSE systems, reporting tools and Microsoft Office.
- A current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence.
- Mining-specific qualifications or incident investigation training, such as ICAM, will be highly regarded.
