About the Role:
Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary People & Culture team, including Business Partnering & Advisory Services and Talent Acquisition, while providing strategic leadership across Council's people management function. The role oversees the delivery of contemporary people strategies, programs and services that strengthen organisational capability, performance and culture.
In this role you will:
- Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic workforce advice, build leadership capability and support organisational change and transformation initiatives.
- Lead the development and delivery of workforce planning, talent acquisition and people management initiatives that enable the organisation to attract, retain and develop talent.
- Drive continuous improvement, governance and compliance across People & Culture policies, practices and services to enhance organisational performance and employee experience.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, customer-focused people solutions that support Council's strategic objectives.
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven culture by coaching leaders, developing team capability and embedding contemporary people practices.

About You
You are a strategic and collaborative People & Culture leader with a proven ability to drive organisational performance, build capability and deliver contemporary people solutions in complex environments. You will bring:
- 10+ years’ experience leading multi-disciplinary People & Culture functions, including Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition, within large and complex organisations.
- Proven success delivering strategic people initiatives, organisational change, workforce planning and business improvement outcomes, while partnering with senior leaders to achieve organisational objectives.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams, influence at all levels and provide expert advice on employment legislation, policies and contemporary people practices.
To be considered for this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline,
or bring 15+ years' relevant experience in large and complex organisations.
