Tractor Operator - Parks Western Sydney Council

Are you an experienced Tractor Operator looking for a rewarding role maintaining parks, sporting fields, and open spaces that the community enjoys every day?

A leading Western Sydney Council is seeking a skilled Tractor Operator - Parks to join their Parks Services team. This is a hands-on role where you'll operate tractors and specialised mowing equipment while helping maintain high-quality parks, reserves, and recreational facilities across the local area.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate tractors, mowing equipment, powered implements, and specialised attachments safely and efficiently.
- Conduct inspections of parks, reserves, and facilities to identify maintenance requirements and minimise risk.
- Assist with the maintenance and management of open spaces, recreational facilities, and Council assets.
- Contribute to planning and completing work programmes in line with service standards and operational targets.




- Monitor equipment performance and provide recommendations for improvements to plant, tools, and work practices.
- Complete electronic and paper-based records, including the use of Council work management systems and iPads.
- Work collaboratively with team members and assist other operational areas during peak periods, wet weather events, and emergencies.
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in accordance with WHS legislation, Council policies, and industry best practice.
- Maintain positive relationships with the community, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- White card
- NSW C class licence, MR desirable
- Chemical certificate
- Asbestos and Powerline awareness
- TCR and IMP, desirable
