About the Position
We are excited to welcome a part-time Early Years Support Worker to our Pathways for Early Learning and Development (PELD) team in Toowoomba. In this rewarding role, you'll work alongside children and families during the critical early years, helping build solid relationships, confidence and foundations for lifelong learning and wellbeing. Through home visits, play-based learning and family-centred support, you'll empower caregivers and help children thrive in their everyday environments.
- Level 3 SCHCADS Award.
- Salary range: $80,009 - $85,799 (pro-rata) + Superannuation.
- Part-time [0.6FTE], maximum term contract opportunity until 31 March 2027 with possible extension.
- It is a genuine occupational requirement that applicants are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children's early development by delivering relationship-based, developmentally informed interventions tailored to each child's strengths and needs.
- Empower families to succeed through coaching, modelling and practical strategies that strengthen parent-child relationships and everyday learning opportunities.
- Create meaningful impact by facilitating inclusive play-based experiences that promote children's wellbeing, belonging and development.
- Collaborate for better outcomes by working with families and multidisciplinary partners to deliver coordinated, child-centred support.

About You
- Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood, Community Servies or a similar vocational qualification is desirable.
- Experience providing intervention and support services to families, caregivers, young people and children.
- Understanding of early childhood development impacts of trauma,
and support required for children with additional needs and engaging them in an educational setting.
- Eligibility to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required), including holding or obtaining required checks (Working with Children Check or professional exemption).
- Current driver’s licence.
- Willingness of a respected Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural referee to vouch for your appropriateness for this role.
