The SALHN Mental Health Services is seeking an experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to provide professional leadership, clinical governance and advanced
About the role:
Reporting to the Allied Health Director – Mental Health, you will:
- Lead and coordinate high-quality psychology services across SALHN Mental Health Services.
- Provide expert clinical advice on service planning, policy, workforce and complex clinical matters.
- Develop robust collaborative relationships with clinical leads and multidisciplinary
teams.
- Contribute to strategic allied health and psychology service development.
- Monitor clinical standards, service quality, workforce priorities and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement supervision frameworks supporting competency, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Provide supervision, mentorship and professional support to senior and advanced psychologists.
- Support research, education and training initiatives within the psychology profession.
About you:
- An appropriate psychology degree/equivalent and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia in Clinical Psychology.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership and experience in psychology service planning and development.
- Extensive experience working with consumers with high or complex needs.
- Strong skills in strategic consultation, clinical governance and workforce planning.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate,
negotiate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience contributing to quality improvement and evidence-based clinical practice.
