About the opportunity :
Based from our Marsden Park warehouse , this is a great opportunity for someone with previous glass fitting, glazing, construction, maintenance or trade experience who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is looking to build their skills within a supportive and growing organisation.
You’ll work as part of our glass maintenance team, repairing and replacing a variety of pre-cut glass panels across our company assets throughout Sydney and metropolitan areas.
What you’ll be doing
This is a hands-on role where no two days are exactly the same. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing worksite risks and ensuring work is completed safely.
- Measuring, selecting and fitting the appropriate glass for each job.
- Preparing and building frames and structures ready for glass installation.
- Handling and installing various types and sizes of pre-cut glass.
- Completing glass removal,
hack-outs and replacement works where required.
- Carrying out minor preparation, trimming and finishing of glass as required.
- Loading, securing and organising glass and equipment onto work vehicles.
- Installing and replacing glass across oOh! assets.
- Planning and managing allocated jobs and monitoring progress.
- Working independently while also contributing to a supportive maintenance team.
- Identifying practical ways to improve efficiency and the quality of completed work.
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety, workmanship and presentation.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, practical and reliable, with the confidence to work with glass and tools in a hands-on environment.
You’ll bring:
- Previous experience in glazing, glass fitting, glass installation, construction, maintenance or a similar trade environment.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- An understanding of safe work practices and site risk assessment.
- Good mathematical and literacy skills, particularly when measuring and interpreting job requirements.
- The ability to work independently once trained and follow jobs through to completion.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- Positive communication and customer service skills.
- A professional presentation and strong work ethic.
- A current and valid Australian driver's licence.
- The physical capability to safely handle glass, tools and equipment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop your skills further.
