FIS provides evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services for individuals in custody and the community. We focus on areas such as violent and sexual offending, restorative justice, violent extremism and family violence.

The Service Development Branch provides oversight, monitoring and reform of service delivery across the state, including across both prisons and community corrections. The Service Development Branch also has responsibility for the management and maintenance of the technological systems that support service delivery and continuous improvement.

The Senior Clinical Advisor is responsible for providing authoritative advice on complex clinical and operational issues relating to delivery of offending behaviour interventions across Victoria, and working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff across the State, to develop and embed ongoing process and quality improvements in clinical service delivery.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Manager, Service Delivery and Practice, the Senior Clinical Advisor will:

- Undertake analysis and provide authoritative advice on complex clinical and operational issues relating to the delivery of offending behaviour interventions across Victoria.
- Plan and manage a range of projects to support the effective and consistent delivery of clinical services across the State, including ongoing service and quality improvements.
- Identify and respond to clinical and operational issues impacting on service delivery.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in the planning of programs and services for people in custody and in the community.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in assessment and use of psychometric tools.
- Demonstrated understanding and awareness of the key issues impacting Corrections Victoria, particularly within the area of interventions for people in custody and in the community.
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant frameworks for offending behaviour rehab ilitation.

Qualifications

- Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency; or
- Eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW); or
- A master's degree in psychotherapy and eligible for registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or
- A master's degree in counselling and eligible for membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or
- Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses; or
- Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Specialist training and/or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical or forensic field, is desirable.
- AHPRA approved supervisor, or equivalent; or
- A minimum of 2 years of being a practicing supervisor
