REGISTERED NURSE

Andrews House Aged Care Facility

Permanent Part Time, up to 48 hours per fortnight

Registered Nurse YP2 ($42.60) - YP9 ($54.40) (excludes allowances)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Andrews House Aged Care Facility as a Registered Nurse. Reporting to the Facility Manager and working collaboratively with the Care Coordinator and broader multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering high quality, person-centred care to residents in a residential aged care setting.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care, while supporting positive clinical outcomes and maintaining professional nursing standards. This role offers ongoing opportunities for professional development, including education and support to work towards an In-Charge capacity when required.

We are seeking a motivated, compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based care and who thrive in a collaborative team environment. This role would suit nurses who are passionate about aged care, value building meaningful relationships with residents and families, and are dedicated to continuous improvement and professional excellence.

Our preferred candidate will have:

· Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).

· Demonstrated sound clinical nursing skills and commitment to safe practice principles.

· Well-developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

· Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.

· Strong written and computer skills appropriate to the role.

· Commitment to person-centred care and continuous quality improvement.

· Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including morning, afternoon and night shifts.

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

· Recent experience in aged care or acute care nursing.





· Knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards.

· Evidence of recent continuing professional development.

· Experience supervising and supporting care staff and contributing to clinical leadership activities.

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all current appointments.
