What you'll be doing




It's an exciting time as the High Volume Surgical Hub is up and running and we are keen to recruit experienced Scrub Scout nurses to continue to offer great care to our patience. This is primarily a Monday to Friday opportunity requiring both AM and PM shift availability for a rotating roster; including some night shifts and potential for an on-call shift.

As a Scrub Scout nurse, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring surgical procedures are safe, sterile, organised, and well-supported from start to finish; collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other nurses to ensure procedures run smoothly and efficiently. As a valued member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care throughout the perioperative journey. You will be supported by experienced clinicians committed to professional development, continuous learning, and clinical excellence.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

1. Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
3. Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
