About the role

As an Auto Electrician / Accessory Fitter at TJM Darwin, you’ll work hands-on with some of the most exciting vehicle upgrades around; from lift kits and bull bars to custom electrical builds and full 4x4 transformations.

Preferably, we’re looking for someone who can combine auto electrical expertise with accessory fitting know-how to elevate workshop performance. Whilst not essential to have the auto electrical background, you must have accessory fitting experience!

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and complete electrical work, including wiring, lighting, and accessory integration.

- Assist Fitters with 4x4 accessory installations, providing guidance to improve skills and efficiency.

- Carry out fitments of a wide range of aftermarket accessories; bull bars, suspension kits, snorkels, and more.

- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, fitting instructions, and technical drawings.

- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and customer standards.

- Contribute to workshop organisation, training, and process improvement.

Skills & Experience

- Qualified Auto Electrician or proven auto electrical experience highly desirable (but not essential).

- Experience in 4x4 accessory fitting essential.

- Ability to diagnose electrical requirements and perform wiring installations highly desirable (but not essential).

- Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools.





- Understanding of 4x4 systems, vehicle modifications, and aftermarket accessories.

- Commitment to safe workshop practices and WHS standards.

- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Team-focused attitude with the ability to mentor and support others.

- Current Australian driver’s licence.
