About the role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Western Health's multidisciplinary team at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC), a women's correctional facility in Melbourne's west.

As a Grade 3 Occupational Therapist, you will provide advanced clinical assessment, intervention and leadership to support women with complex physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs. You will play a key role in helping patients optimise their occupational performance during custody and prepare for successful transition back into the community.

This position offers a unique mix of acute and subacute care, leadership responsibility, service development and creative problem-solving within an innovative and well-supported healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and intervention for women with complex needs.
- Lead person-centred care planning, discharge planning and community transition pathways.
- Provide clinical leadership, mentoring and support to staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to quality improvement, service development, education and research activities.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to support coordinated care.

About you:

You are an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving health outcomes for vulnerable populations and leading excellence in clinical care.

You will bring:

- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist and an appropriate tertiary qualification.
- Extensive clinical experience in acute, community and interdisciplinary healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex assessment, care planning, discharge planning and case conferencing.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience contributing to quality improvement, service development or research initiatives.
- A current Victorian Driver Licence.
