IKAD Engineering is seeking an experienced Processing Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operation of our workshop processing department in Henderson.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, this is a hands-on leadership position responsible for coordinating personnel, workflow and processing activities, including the operation and output of our FICEP Gemini CNC Plate Processing Machine.

We are looking for someone with a strong fabrication background and practical experience with CNC plate processing equipment, ideally FICEP, who can provide technical guidance to operators while ensuring production targets, safety and quality requirements are achieved.

About the Role

Key responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate the day-to-day activities and workflow of the processing department.

- Supervise and provide direction to operators, personnel, apprentices and subcontractors.

- Oversee the operation and production output of the FICEP Gemini CNC Plate Processing Machine.

- Provide technical guidance and support to CNC operators as required.

- Plan and prioritise processing activities in line with workshop and project requirements.

- Monitor production progress against required delivery dates.

- Ensure steel plate is processed accurately and in accordance with engineered drawings, specifications and required tolerances.

- Ensure measuring and testing equipment is appropriately identified, calibrated and maintained.

- Oversee machinery and equipment maintenance in accordance with company and QC requirements.

- Ensure work is completed in accordance with IKAD's Quality Management System.

- Maintain a protected,



clean and organised processing area and ensure PPE and safe work practices are consistently followed.

- Work closely with the Workshop Manager to achieve production targets and project priorities.

What You Will Bring

- Demonstrated experience operating CNC plate processing machinery – FICEP experience highly regarded.

- Strong knowledge of CNC plate processing and fabrication processes.

- Previous experience in a fabrication, heavy engineering or similar workshop environment.

- Experience supervising, leading or coordinating workshop personnel.

- Ability to interpret and understand engineered/fabrication drawings.

- Understanding of plate processing tolerances, measuring and quality requirements.

- Strong knowledge of workshop safety requirements and safe operating practices.

- Ability to organise workloads and coordinate competing production priorities.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- Reliable, organised and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

- Experience with CNC programming, nesting and/or drafting would be advantageous.
