Join Our Team as a Disability Support Worker!

We are seeking a passionate, reliable and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality support to NDIS participants in the Port Melbourne, Kensington, South Yara areas. This role would suit a confident support worker who has experience working with NDIS participants and is comfortable providing hands-on support to clients with complex care needs.

Availability:

- Shifts: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm | Minimum 3 days per week

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care, including toileting and showering assistance.
- Assist with meal preparation, cooking and household tasks.
- Support clients with community access and social engagement.
- Provide safe manual handling and mobility support.
- Assist with medication in accordance with the participant's support plan, relevant policies and your level of training and competency.
- Follow individual support plans and provide person-centred care.
- Support clients to maintain their independence, dignity and personal goals.

Essential Experience & Skills To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience working as a Disability Support Worker with NDIS participants.
- Confidence working independently in clients' homes.
- Experience supporting clients with complex care needs, including MND and behaviours of concern.
- Manual Handling training and hands-on experience.
- Practical experience using manual handling equipment such as hoists and slide sheets.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A reliable, compassionate and professional approach.





Compliance Requirements Successful applicants will need to meet all applicable employment and NDIS requirements, which may include:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check, where required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Individual Support, Nursing or a related field are highly regarded.
- Right to work in Australia.
- A valid driver's licence, appropriate vehicle insurance and access to a reliable vehicle, where required for the role.
