Located on the Adelaide sand belt and established in 1923, the Kooyonga Golf Club is recognised internationally as one of Australia's leading championship courses and private golf clubs having hosted five Men's Australian Opens, two women's Australian Opens and many other State and National golf events.

About the Role
An opportunity has emerged for an experienced Function & Events Manager to manage and grow our function and events business.
Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, the primary focus of the role will be to provide an outstanding experience to our function clients which includes member events, weddings, private events, seminars and corporate golf events.
Areas of Responsibility
Key responsibilities of this pivotal role include:
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager by marketing, selling, booking and coordinating all functions and events
- Conduct site visits and be the primary point of contact for event organisers, ensuring timely and accurate communication of event requirements with clients and internal stakeholders
- Oversee event planning leading up to all functions to meet client requirements
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager and Bar Manager by developing and executing themed social events for members while actively building and maintaining strong relationships with members to encourage event bookings
- Identify opportunities to engage members, promote the Club’s function offerings and foster ongoing relationships that encourage members to return to the Club for future events and celebrations
- Prepare accurate event collateral including event orders to communicate with clients and internal stakeholders as well as prepare floor plans and seating plans in the lead up to events
- Assist with and book third party suppliers as required on behalf of clients and the club (lighting, centrepieces, stages etc)
- Oversee and manage the on site execution of functions and events, providing hands on supervision throughout, to ensure seamless service delivery, operational standards, client satisfaction and effective coordination of the events team
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the development of rosters and training plans for hospitality staff
- Assist the hospitality team in the daily operation of the Members’ Bar and a la carte service as required
- Ensure the clubhouse and function rooms are maintained in a manner that promotes the high standards expected at Kooyonga Golf Club

- Proficient in Microsoft suite of products including word, excel, powerpoint, outlook
Minimum requirements to apply for this role include 3-5 years’ experience in function management, current RSA, approved RP, own transport, flexibility to work full-time hours across 7 days (weekends included).
