We are currently recruiting an Operations Coordinator for a Major Oil & Gas Operator on a 2 year contract.
This role will be based on Barrow Island and the successful candidate will be the onsite Control of Work Subject Matter Expert responsible for coordinating safe and efficient field operations, ensuring compliance with Operational Excellence requirements, providing frontline leadership across production, well operations and decommissioning activities.
This role acts as the key interface between field operations and Perth-based support teams while providing supervision of contractor operations personnel and operational assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the onsite SME for Control of Work (CoW), Permit to Work (PTW) and Well Lease Control processes.
- Review and approve high-risk PTWs and provide oversight of CoW compliance.
- Conduct CoW assurance reviews, Field Safeguard checks and Contractor Operational Excellence management (COEM) audits.
- Supervise and allocate work to business partner Operators, Maintainers and General Services Operations (GSO) personnel.
- Approve timesheets and act as the site interface for matters pertaining to business partner employees under your supervision.
- Perform Functional Reviewer responsibilities for operational changes and Management of Change processes.
- Provide frontline operational support for Well Operations and Decommissioning activities.
- Review site priorities, schedules and work execution plans to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
- Review committed work schedule (CWS), participate in work request review meetings (WRRMs) and progress work orders from status 01 to status 05 in the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Review ground and vegetation disturbance (GVD) applications and provide operational input into planning and scheduling activities.
- Ensure policies,
Operational Excellence (OE) expectations and Environmental Performance requirements are visibly implemented and maintained.
- Act as the primary field focal point for operational matters with Perth support teams.
- Perform Emergency Management Team (EMT) responsibilities and support emergency response activities.
- Backfill the Field Superintendent as required.
- Oversee operational budget and support effective resource utilisation.

- Operational readiness and schedule delivery.
- Compliance with Operational Excellence, Environmental Performance and Management of Change requirements.
- Continuous improvement of operational performance and field execution.

- 2 week on, 2 week off roster
- ASAP Start
- 11 hour days on site
- POM: Perth, no interstate travel is covered
