We are a community-based, not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre and Kindergarten committed to providing high-quality care and education in a warm, supportive and inclusive environment.
Our team consists of friendly and professional Educators who are passionate about children and take pride in providing high-quality learning and care. Our small group sizes enable Educators to build strong relationships with children and families, engage meaningfully with every child, provide close supervision and take personal ownership of the quality of care and education we provide.
We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Diploma Qualified Educators to join our team.
About the Role
The role is varied and will include, but is not limited to:
- Supporting the Room Leader to develop, implement and evaluate the room program in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and our Centre Philosophy.
- Supporting the room team and being a positive and professional role model for other Educators.
- Building respectful and collaborative relationships with children, families and the wider community.
- Working collaboratively with Educators across the Centre to support the whole-service approach.
- Demonstrating and promoting a strong team approach to quality care, education and continuous improvement.
- Engaging in intentional teaching and supporting children’s learning through their individual interests, strengths and curiosity.
- Contributing to a positive, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or recognised equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working in an early childhood setting.
- Experience and confidence in documenting children's strengths, interests, learning and development.
- A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and an ability to be inspired by their natural curiosity and sense of wonder.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to developing genuine partnerships with families and the wider community.
- A passion for both indoor and outdoor learning.
- Previous experience with program planning and documentation. An understanding of Walker Learning would be an advantage.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and the ability to demonstrate innovative, creative and reflective thinking.
- Sound knowledge of child development, the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards.
- A current Working with Children Check and completion of Geccko child safe training.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- A recognised qualification in Children's Services.
