As our Australian business continues to expand, we are looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer / Technical Support Engineer to join our Queensland engineering team and grow with us.

About the Role

This position is ideal for an early-career Electrical Engineer or Technical Support Engineer who is passionate about renewable energy and battery storage.

You will work alongside experienced engineers supporting residential and commercial BESS projects across Australia, gaining practical experience in commissioning, technical support, product validation, troubleshooting and customer support.

This role provides excellent exposure to real-world Battery Energy Storage Systems while offering clear opportunities for technical and career development.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support & Commissioning

· Assist with remote and on-site technical support for residential and commercial Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

· Support system commissioning, configuration, firmware upgrades and diagnostics.

· Assist in troubleshooting battery systems, BMS, inverters, PCS and communication interfaces (CAN, RS485 and Modbus).

· Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers and support follow-up investigations.

Product Support & Engineering

· Assist with product testing, validation and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.





· Support engineering investigations and continuous product improvement.

· Prepare technical reports, commissioning records and engineering documentation.

· Assist in developing installation guides, technical manuals and troubleshooting materials.

Customer & Installer Support

· Provide technical assistance to installers, distributors and EPC partners.

· Support customer enquiries and participate in technical training sessions.

· Assist with warranty investigations, product performance assessments and RMA support where required.

Compliance & Safety

· Ensure engineering activities comply with Australian standards and company procedures.

· Maintain awareness of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 4777, AS/NZS 5139 and other relevant standards.

· Participate in product compliance testing and certification activities.

· Follow Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements during office and field work.

Future Product Development

· Develop knowledge of Aeson's expanding battery product portfolio, including sodium-ion technologies and future automotive lithium battery products.

· Work closely with senior engineers and global R&D; teams to support new product development for the Australian market.

Skills & Experience

Essential

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Electronics or a related discipline.

· Graduate to approximately 2 years of relevant industry experience.





· Strong interest in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy or power electronics.

· Basic understanding of electrical systems, battery technologies and inverter systems.

· Ability to read electrical schematics, SLDs and technical drawings.

· Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

· Australian working rights.

Highly Regarded

· Experience with residential or commercial solar and battery systems.

· Knowledge of Australian electrical standards and grid connection requirements.

· Experience with BESS commissioning or technical support.

· Familiarity with Victron, Deye, SMA, Growatt, Fronius or similar inverter platforms.

· Mandarin language skills.

· White Card or relevant electrical safety training.
