The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Graduate Civil Designer to join our Transport team in Adelaide.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career Civil Engineer to develop practical skills in transport engineering and civil infrastructure design. Working alongside experienced engineers and designers, you will gain exposure to a broad range of transport infrastructure projects and progressively develop your technical capabilities in road design, earthworks, and stormwater drainage.

You will be supported through mentoring, on-the-job learning and professional development, while gaining hands-on experience across the project lifecycle. This role is suited to someone who is keen to build a robust technical foundation and develop their career within transport engineering and design.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting with the preparation of transport engineering designs, drawings and models using Civil 3D and 12d

- Contributing to the design and modelling of roads, intersections, transport corridors and associated civil infrastructure

- Assisting with earthworks modelling, road geometry, alignments,



pavement design and stormwater drainage

- Preparing engineering drawings, plans and technical documentation in accordance with Australian Standards, client requirements and TMK standards

- Supporting the preparation of design documentation for local government, state government and private sector transport projects

- Coordinating design activities with multidisciplinary engineering teams

- Undertaking design revisions in response to internal reviews and client feedback

- Participating in project meetings and contributing to technical discussions

- Contributing to a positive team culture and TMK's continuous improvement initiatives

About You

You are a highly motivated and technically capable graduate who is interested in transport engineering and civil infrastructure design. You are keen to develop your technical skills, learn from experienced professionals and contribute to the delivery of quality engineering projects.

You will bring:

- A Bachelor of Civil Engineering

- An interest in developing skills in transport infrastructure design, including road geometry, earthworks and stormwater drainage

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work

- Good written and verbal communication skills

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- A proactive approach to problem solving

- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team





- Good organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities

- A commitment to professional development and continuous learning

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- A current Australian Driver's Licence

- Exposure to transport infrastructure projects, Civil 3D and 12d would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.

- Approximately 6–12 months of relevant internship, vacation employment or industry placement experience is desirable, but graduates without previous industry experience are also encouraged to apply.
